At GBN Worldwide we take our data privacy responsibilities very seriously and we want you to understand and feel confident about how we collect, store and handle your data. We fully support the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) that have come into effect across Europe in May 2018.

This policy cover sets out our data privacy responsibilities including why we capture data, how we store it and who to contact if you have any questions.

The policy applies to GBN Worldwide’s operations functions, including its internal external technology platforms. Please note that each GBN member is an individual insurance-related entity responsible for their compliance, including data protection at a local level.

Who we are?

GBN Worldwide is an insurance eco-system. GBN Worldwide Ltd., GBN Worldwide USA Inc. and GBN Worldwide UK Limited do not provide brokerage services. Insurance products and services are provided by network members or partners who are licensed within their home venue.

These members and partners are not employed by either GBN Worldwide legal entity. Each member and partner is a separately owned entity responsible for compliance with all regulatory requirements of their home venue. Some services require additional fees and may be offered directly through thirdparty providers.

Data Protection is a key component of our Operational Strategy and our Processes.

What information do we collect?

Due to the nature of our business, GBN stores personal and sensitive data for compliance purposes, such as date of birth and home address associated with our members and partners within an encrypted cloud system. The information that we may collect about you is purely for the use of business purposes and could include your name, title and business contact details, whilst the majority of information will be related to your organisation.

How do we use personal information?

The data collected is used to identify new members and partners for GBN, our network communication activities, as well as generating business opportunities for our members by passing on direct enquiries from potential clients. All data in the above scenarios will have been provided by the prospective member or partner.

What legal basis do we have for processing your personal data?

By providing your data to GBN Worldwide, the legal grounds for processing and holding this data is that through this act you have given your consent for us to communicate with you.

When do we share personal data?

We treat your data confidentially and we will not share your information without your prior consent.

Where do we store and process personal data?

Our data is encrypted and stored securely and our technology platforms are hosted in the cloud with a reputable supplier.

How long do we keep your data for ?

We will need to keep and process your information during the period that you are either a member or partner of GBN Worldwide. We will also maintain your previous file upon termination of your membership for a period of 24 months.
